I like the idea of creating new goals at the beginning of the year, but for some reason the word”resolution” does not sit well with me. Maybe because if I mess up, I could begin to feel that I am not resolute in my goals, and it’s just not the truth! It just means I have more learning to do, more balance to create or adjustments to make. Think about it, Einstein failed something like a thousand times before he was successful in creating a working light bulb! In his mind, he must have chosen to believe that each “failure” was just another lesson and step towards success! The bottom line is that he believed he could do it and didn’t give up! Can you imagine if he had given up on try #999?
2016 was a great year of personal development and refining for me. I read new things, considered new ideas, participated in some mentoring programs and really took a good look at myself ; physically, spiritually and emotionally. I had to clarify the things that were most important to me! I consciously chose experiences and habits to support them. I followed spiritual promptings and took leaps of faith that maybe didn’t make sense but I did it anyway. I expanded my vision, my understandings and opened myself to more possibilities. In short, I began stripping away the things of less value to me and began to focus on things that I value and love. And even though, the last couple months have felt like 2 steps backwards, I now see it as a lesson I needed to learn; To adjust and refocus on building my life around the things I love!
I desire to do great work. I desire to educate, influence, serve and inspire people to true wellness ; mind , body and spirit. That is my mission and purpose. However, slow or fast, I will continue to move in that direction, appreciating the so called ” failures” for the lessons they are, and for the point of reference they give me for my intentional, beautiful , joyful life!
