Balance, what is it to you?

Balance, what is it? What does it mean to you?
I would venture to say that nearly every person desires to have balance in life. For me ,  it means feeling strong mentally, emotionally and physically. It’s about an ability to manage life in a way that feels peaceful and purposeful. For me, the following daily choices have been essential to creating balance in my life.
1. Prayer/meditation
2. Scripture study/personal development
3. Determining my mission and purpose and reflecting on it daily
4. Creating, Repeating and refining my personal Declaration and living it
5. Physical Exercise/ Eating a  more nutritionally dense diet / Drinking lots of water
6. Returning to Nature in my wellness and lifestyle practices for home and family
7. Serving others
8. Strengthening my relationships , especially my marriage
9. Living in a state of Gratitude and forgiveness
As I have chosen  to create these fundamental necessary habits and keep them consistently part of my every day life, I am finding more and more balance and peace. It is a mistake to think that balance and peace will come by chance, that it is only attainable “some day”, or that it cannot happen due to this or that outside circumstance. These are false beliefs that the opposition would have you believe. The truth is that no matter what you are experiencing in life, balance and peace is absolutely achievable! There is of course an ebb and flow to life, but the ebb only happens when we become fearful and allow life experiences to have power over us. A wonderful understanding I have gained is that  all experience is for our benefit. The negative, however undesirable, gives us a point of reference. In knowing what we don’t want or like, we come to recognize what we do want and like. For that, we can be grateful!
The above habits allow me to have greater perspective. They allow me to be grounded in and open to greater truth. Creating both physical and spiritual habits give me strength in both areas , which work together simultaneously! It is impossible to have true balance if one focuses only on physical strength, while disregarding the spiritual/emotional practices. Physical practices bless us spiritually and spiritual practices improve us physically. Or in other words… no universal law that is temporal is not also spiritual and nothing that is spiritual  is not also physical. These are truths I am coming to understand more and more.
At the root of all things, we, as spiritual/emotional beings, are always seeking for a better feeling, feeling. Some might look for it from temporary fixes and then find themselves empty and unfulfilled. ( you can probably think of a few examples of these) But many more are beginning to have a greater  awareness that there is more in life than just the temporary fixes.
I believe this raising of consciousness is allowing many to access true and more consistent Joy. I believe we can  choose to practice those things that fill us from the inside out, like the habits listed above, and then have joy EVEN in our trials!
This is a blessing of living in pursuit of Truth , Love and Light!

  1. I love this so much! Thank you! It helped me see that the feelings of,"I can't have balance in my life now, I'll have to do it later." are not true and are not of the Lord. You are amazing!

    1. So happy you were able to learn something. Thanks for taking the time to read my inspirations!
