This article may not be what you think. But I invite you to stay and consider.
I wouldn’t say that I have chronic anxiety or pain but I know people who do. I do experience Stress in all it’s everyday mild forms. But the intensity of stress, anxiety and pain has spread to the masses in recent years in an astonishing rate. I will say, I have had bouts with it in the last couple years and it’s not fun.
Of course, Anxiety and pain are not necessarily desirable but what if we choose to Think different thoughts about a particular thing? What if we recognize the thing as a signal of spiritual/emotional imbalance instead of “owning” it as a permanent condition or a conclusion ? What if we could stop being a victim and appreciate it for what it’s trying to show us? And what if you could find peace and joy in spite of these concerns?
Take a moment to consciously or physically list the things that stress you, give you anxiety or even cause you pain.
- Afraid that you won’t measure up or that you might fail at something.
- Afraid that you won’t be recognized for what you are accomplishing or that you are or will be treated unfairly.
- Afraid that you can’t pay the bills.
- Afraid of health issues, pain etc…
- Afraid that you will be alone or won’t find love.
- Afraid of others not understanding your side of a situation, leading you to seek justification.
- Afraid that your children won’t be obedient or happy
Can you see that all of these are rooted in Fear? Fear is an anticipation of something that hasn’t even happened yet! Our subconscious minds are literally playing tricks on us, a lot of the time. Our mind is always trying to keep us safe and comfortable. When something potentially scary is on the horizon, our mind automatically moves to that place of Fear and Flight. The funny thing is that the physiological reactions to fear are the same as excitement! The truth is, we choose to assign an emotion to the particular situation, that then lables the thing as fear or excitement. Some fear is useful, but most is not! What if we just chose to change the label????
When we are fearful , we are lacking Faith. When we lack faith it means we are disconnected, somehow, from God; disconnected from His Love and possibilities. When we are in this state, the reality is we are choosing to believe that His love is not enough and that His ways are not the answer.
If we don’t believe God has a solution, and choose to lean on our own understanding…. isn’t this also called Pride?
I believe these signals from the body/mind/soul are a call from heaven!
God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.- C.S. Lewis
These physical and emotional imbalances are a signal to tune in, to feel more deeply, create a greater sense of awareness and to get ourselves (mind, body and spirit) into alignment with truth; and especially the truth of who we are as literal children of God.
If there is a way to connect with God more fully and heal from these human created limitations and ailments.. would you want to know?
Well, I believe there are ways. This is the lesson I am learning; We can choose to love our trials, our pain and even our suffering. We can determine to acknowledge them, learn from them, gain strength and in the end draw power from them and over them and be grateful for their purpose in our lives. OR, we can choose to hate them, live in resistance instead of seeking understanding. We should not OWN them, by saying “I have this or that” or ” I can’t this or that ( negative) and give ourselves a subconscious life sentence. When we choose to live by negative conclusions, we literally create laws and limits to our physical and mental progression. This is sabotage to our healing and potential. . When we choose the former, we choose abundance, healing, and freedom!
We know for sure that there is opposition in all things. Everything has an opposite. The beauty of human creation and purpose, is that we have the divine right and power to choose a perspective of negativity or positivity!
We choose the focus of our energy and power.
Everything we experience is for our learning. Sometimes we experience things because of the choices of others. Sometimes we choose to learn the hard way by making our own poor choices. And sometimes the right choices are the hardest ones to make. But ALL of our experience is to REFINE us. Regardless of what it is, the opportunity to learn, connect and draw upon divine power, is ALWAYS before us.
This is the perfect plan; Agency or free will. The rate at which we transform, is clearly up to each of us. Each of us the agency to grow and learn, as we choose. We can CREATE the life we desire by our own design and destiny. The way I see it , is that we have at least 3 choices;
- Remain ignorant – uneducated, or trapped in victimhood
- Remain Numb – focused worldly, self centered habits and pursuits. “Checking out mentally and emotionally” Reluctant to ” be responsible for self ” or suppressing the “knowing” of your identity, gifts, talents and purpose.
- Recognize your worth and value as a child of God and Live Everyday honoring Father in Heaven by honoring your authentic self.
Everything in this life is designed to CALL us back to our divine heritage. To recognize the TRUTH of who we are; Powerful CREATORS, with ALL potential when partnered with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. He didn’t say, ” you must do it all on your own” . He said, ” With God, All things are possible!”
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of Power, and of love and a sound mind.
1 Timothy 1:7
Power, Love and a Sound Mind; this sounds like a promise! A promise from a loving Heavenly Father that when we turn to and fully trust in God, we gain access to these blessings!
How can we turn to and trust more fully in God?
Here are some tools to help;
- Understand and remember; YOU are a child of a Heavenly Father. Behave as one and treat others as they are. “You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of all that is, will be and ever was.”
― Anthon St. Maarten
“It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree helping each other to one or the other of these destinations. It is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, it is with the awe and the circumspection proper to them, that we should conduct all of our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal.” ~ CS Lewis
- Identify and release old patterns/programs and false beliefs; these could be acquired by life experience, handed down by family and generational traditions, even through cellular energy!
- Learn about and Use Essential oils to release these and expedite change. DDR Prime, Melissa, Cypress, Wild Orange, Grapefruit, Frankincense and more…
- Create New beliefs focused on truth and goodness. I can, I am , I love, It’s easy for me to….. Then make gratitude your focus.
- Use Essential oils to help you identify truth and solidify new beliefs. Cinnamon, Cassia, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Balance, Siberian Fir, DDR Prime and more….
- Prepare your mind and heart daily – First thing, every day, spend a little time on each of these; personal development, scripture study, meditation and prayer. Even if it’s just 10 minutes each. This is your daily Self Care Plan! Exercise too!
- Expand your agency – You don’t ever have to immediately react to any influence or situation. Put some time and space between an influence ( especially negative ones) and your response. This is being Proactive. This is training your spirit to behave in truth rather than succumbing to the ways of the “natural man”. Stephen Covey Said, “Every human has four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom… The power to choose, to respond, to change.”
- Act on Every Good Thought – Let your Spirit Guide, let it teach you what is true. Pay attention to thoughts of people, purpose and passions. Allow yourself to be a blessing to others, listen for meaningful opportunities and follow your passions. “Belief consists in accepting the affirmations of the soul; unbelief, in denying them.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson “Faith is a passionate intuition” William Wordsworth
- One thing at a Time ; don’t fall into the trap of thinking you have to be super busy to be successful or the trap of not doing anything because it’s too hard…. Choose what is most important. Find Balance by Prioritizing your to do list and work through tasks one at a time . We often get tricked into thinking ,” I have to do this NOW, or have this NOW or eat this NOW or be justified NOW.” It’s a myth…. expand your agency. “Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action; rather it is “timing” it waits on the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.”
― Fulton J. Sheen - Release and let Go – If it’s a task, activity or habit that doesn’t edify you or those you love. Release it. If it’s an emotion that doesn’t edify , acknowledge it, give place for it and then release it and replace it. “What comes first, the compass or the clock? Before one can truly manage time (the clock), it is important to know where you are going, what your priorities and goals are, in which direction you are headed (the compass). Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going. Rather than always focusing on what’s urgent, learn to focus on what is really important.“ Unknown
- Make room for Miracles – This begins and ends with Gratitude. Believe, trust and watch for miracles. “I am realistic – I expect miracles.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
We are living in the Best time history! If we focus on fear, that is what we will manifest and experience. If we focus on Faith, we will be empowered to live with hope and happiness, EVEN through our trials.
